P is for Paw paw, passionfruit and plun (Norf'k work for bananas). All are organic & beautifully home grown here in the rich volcanic soils on #norfolkisland,
The green paw paw all fell off the tree in the last wind.
I do believe you can make a nice relish, jam or salad with it. I am yet to try that.
Being the great community this is, I have been promised the recipes to the above in exchange for a green paw paw, although we would have happily given them to each other, it made it seem like a good deal done with a neighbour. :)
This bag of passionfruit was given to us (I have made loads of orange, lemon and passionfruit butter with it).
Q is for Queen as in Queen Elizabeth lookout (from above and below, opened in honour of Queen Elizabeth's royal tour of Norfolk Island in 1974).
Queen Victoria's bust in Queen Victoria's garden (In honour of the Queen who granted the land to the Pitcairn/ Bounty mutineers descendants)
And finally the Minischool kids waving to cars along Queen Elizabeth Avenue on the Queens 90th Birthday.
We are very royal here, the anthem is even God Save the Queen.
R is for... my favourite thing, RAINBOWS! There have been plenty around this week too.
Rainbows are my favourite colours!
