Minischool has moved!
WE are so blessed to be given this amazing space called Shangri-la.

Ideally located closer to town, and in very close proximity to Norfolk Island Central School, Paradise Hotel & Resort, Governors Lodge Hotel & Resort, opposite the Cheryl Tennis Club and a short stroll to Queen Victoria's garden.

We will miss our water views but have gained an amazing garden space full of adventure trails.

We look forward to putting in more garden areas like a fairy grotto, a pirate cove and a dinosaur garden.

You can see what we all love about Minischool on our blog

or even find us on facebook

Week 7, May 2014 ~ Natural
Look at the amazing details and natural fibres used in these Bounty Hats.

Wunnas or sea urchins occur naturally around our reefs. I love this empty urchin shell I found washed up on the beach.

Week 6, May 2014 ~ Colourful
How much more colourful can Norfolk Island get! It is a photographers dream!!!

I wanted to add this photo for last weeks prompt 'fresh' as a friend picked them out of his garden on the way to our impromptu bbq at the beach. It doesn't get any fresher or more colourful, let alone tasty than that.
I have found out that I am a chromophile (terrible name, but it just means that I LOVE COLOUR!) My favourite colours are rainbows :)

The sunrise from my back deck
 Sunset at Kingston pier.
My sons favourite colourful babycino at the Olive cafĂ©.
Here is my rainbow daughter when she sang 'Over the rainbow' at the Norfolk Island Talent quest

a little perspective

I was taking silhouettes shots of my three cherubs during last nights spectacular sunset.
My husband decides it would be funny to photobomb us.

Then to make up for it, tells me that he will include me in a rare moment in front of the camera.

He then tells me that its a stupid photo because he cant see us :D hehehehehe

What is that old saying? "nice camera, it must take nice photos is equal to telling your dinner party hostess that the food was nice so they must have a nice oven!
Sometimes it is as simple as the perspective, get onto your knees and try it for yourself.
Its true, without that sunset behind the silhouettes, it is just a plain photo with a little bit of water & colour in the background.
We had a good giggle at this afterwards.

Friday Favourite ~ Autumn sunsets are the best (dar bas)

Over looking Puppies point and out to sea.

It was a spectacular lightshow as the sun set at Puppies Point on the Anson bay side of the island.
Even looking up towards the moon was a treat.
It is no wonder why so many of our tourists love it here.

Friday Favourite ~ Autumn sunrises are the best (dar bas)

Autumn sunrises... there is nothing quite like them

Except for Autumn sunsets!
