wild weeds

Where else but this beautiful Island, would one of my favourite plants, 'sweet Alyssum' grow wild like weeds!
I have tried to grow it so many times back on the sunshine coast hoping it would naturalize itself, but would never grow more than an annual, and it never self seeded itself.

I keep finding myself drawn with the kids to the sand dunes behind Emily bay where sweet Alyssum has become quite comfortable in its surroundings and decided to stay.
The smell is Divine!

Not only do you have a place with the freshest air in the world, plus the fresh smell of the sea, but to top it all off, a rich honey scent fills the air as you walk by.
