This is the amazing Philip island hibiscus(endemic to the smaller island off Norfolk),which starts off as a limey-lemon colour.
As the flower ages, it pales and then deepens into a cream with burgundy blushed edges.
Then in its graceful old age, it is a spectacular dark crimson colour.
Fascinating, isn't it.
